Organic cuisine and wines
Copenhagen is famous all over the world as being home to some of the world’s best restaurants. Restaurants such as Noma in the city certainly help keep up appearances, and since, it has proven to be the perfect training ground for burgeoning next-level chefs. Nowadays it seems like every successful restaurant must have a Noma alumni walking around. Relae isn’t any different, two Noma acolytes Christian Puglisi and Kim Rossen set up shop in 2010. Located on a corner, the interior is simple with white walls and plain wooden tables; the venue granting a view in the open kitchen.
What makes Relae unique in such a gastronomically-inclined city is the commitment to cooking with organic products. You can choose between two tasting menus, Omnivore and Herbivore, both include ‘snacks’ and multiple courses with the option of a great organic wine pairing. Current head-chef Jonathan Tam has the advantage of not being bound to Scandinavian ingredients which means you’ll also find plenty of Italian and other international elements.
