Hot, mama, hot!
Dum Dum Palace is located in the middle of China Town. Normally a location that is avoided by locals, but this Red Light District pop-up is extremely popular among young Amsterdam foodies. The genius behind this gem with a modern decor of brick walls and hanging plants is famous food festival caterer HotMamaHot. During daylight it’s a relaxed place for coffee or cocktails, but at night it has become one the Amsterdam number one hotspots for cocktails, sake, Panda beer and Pan-Asian bites with a Dutch touch.
The signature dish is French fries-beef rendang. Other must-eats are the bao bun with tamarind pork belly and oysters with Ponzu pearls. It’s a pity that one day this place will be turned in some boring hotel lounge because, despite of the Amsterdam-like ‘service’, the creative food and vibe are absolutely worth visiting this place.
